While meeting with local Korean residents and business people after his arrival yesterday, Moon said South Korea and Vietnam have become partners that cannot do without each other.
He has stressed the importance of cooperation and exchange, as their bilateral trade reached a record high 63.9 billion dollars last year.

≡ China Calls On US To 'Cease And Desist' From Endangering Trade Relations
Beijing has denounced President Donald Trump's plans for tariffs on Chinese imports, accusing him of putting the two economies on a collision course.
According to a statement from its embassy in Washington, D.C., China said it firmly opposes the move and would fight to the end if a trade war were initiated.
It urged the U.S. to "cease and desist."
Trump authorized new sanctions on Thursday that would impose tariffs on up to 60 billion dollars in Chinese goods.
The tariffs and the imports targeted will be identified in the coming weeks.
Trump said they could be as high as 25 percent, which he called a "reciprocal tax."■
