Rival parties continue to bicker over key issues hours ahead of the opening of a plenary session to pass pending bills.
Lawmakers failed to narrow their differences on the 3.9 trillion won extra budget proposal, with the main opposition Liberty Korea Party calling for a 1.5 trillion won cut.
Partisan wrangling has also deepened following opposition parties' demand that a special investigation into the online comment manipulation scandal include President Moon Jae-in and ruling party lawmakers.■
