President Moon and First Lady Kim take part in early voting for the local elections.
President Moon Jae-in has renewed his promise to honor his own election pledges.
In a released statement, the president noted that a landslide victory by the ruling Democratic Party in the local elections may have shown public support for some of his government and the ruling party but not all.
President Moon said the support the people showed feels heavier than ever after learning that the turnout rate was the highest in 23 years.
He also acknowledged the victory did not mean the public approval of all his policies, adding he will not be complacent about the outcome of the elections.■
