South Korea's exports rose 19 percent on-year during the first 10 days of August.
The Korea Customs Service said outbound shipments reached 14.8 billion dollars over the cited period.
By product, exports of semiconductors and petrochemical goods climbed 41 percent and 57 percent, respectively, while ships plunged 98 percent.
Imports, meanwhile, advanced 14.8 percent on-year to 16.3 billion dollars, resulting in a trade deficit of 1.54 billion dollars.■
