Police are analyzing data collected from an on-site inspection to look into the case of Friday's deadly fire at a dormitory housing facility in Seoul's Jongno District that claimed the lives of 7 people.
According to the Seoul Jongno Police Station, officials are currently reviewing testimonies from witnesses, as well as other seized materials from the site.
It added that the result of an investigation conducted by the National Forensic Service yesterday will be revealed in three weeks.
They are also known to be reviewing whether to charge a tenant on the third floor of the building for causing the fire by negligence.
The tenant in question is reported to have told police that he had his heater on before going to the bathroom and that when he returned, he saw the heater on fire.
The police plan to question the tenant once he is recovered from fire injuries.■
