The award-winning South Korean thriller "Parasite" has soared to the No. 4 spot at the North American box office after winning four Oscars.
According to revenue tracker Box Office Mojo, the black comedy was the fourth most sold title as of Monday, sharply up from its 12th rank a day earlier.
The box office ascent came a day after "Parasite" picked up four prizes, including best picture, at the 92nd Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Mojo said on Monday alone, "Parasite" earned some 500,000 dollars in box office revenue, up 16 percent from what it earned on Sunday and 213 percent higher than a week earlier.■
