BTS has been nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards.
According to MTV's official website Thursday, the South Korean supergroup is in the running to win in the catetories of best pop, best K-pop and best choreography for "On," the title track of its fourth album "Map of the Soul: 7" released last February.
Other artists nominated in the best K-pop category, which was which inaugurated last year, include Monsta X and Red Velvet.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic and continued social distancing to slow the spread of the virus, MTV has added the best music video from home and best quarantine performance categories to this year's event.
The 2020 VMAs will take place in New York and air live on August 30 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
