The South Korean film "Kim Il Sung's Children" has won Best Documentary Feature at the Rome International Movie Awards.
The monthly film festival announced the winners for the July contest via its online sites on August 8.
The documentary by director Kim Deog-young tells the story of thousands of North Korean orphans sent to Europe after the Korean War.
The film was also nominated for an award at the Nice International Film Festival.
