President Moon Jae-in donned gray traditional attire during a Cabinet meeting Tuesday to raise public awareness about hanbok.
Moon said Korea's traditional clothing has gained international attention due to its unique beauty and styles.
He even noted that the Oxford English Dictionary recently added 26 Korean words, including hanbok, to its latest edition, saying it was the result of growing attention being paid to Korean culture.
The president's choice of outfit coincided with the culture ministry designating October 11-17 as the "Week of Autumn Hanbok Culture" to promote the traditional Korean dress.
