BTS ruled the night at the in-person American Music Awards held in Los Angeles Sunday evening, winning in all three categories the group was up for.

After being crowned Artist of the Year, the band's leader RM thanked their global fan base.

"Seven boys from Korea, united by love for music, met the love and support from all the Armies all over the world. This whole thing is a miracle. Thank you so much. We love you all. I want to give this honor to you guys."

The seven-member group beat out other major names including Taylor Swift, Drake and The Weeknd, to clinch what's considered top honors at the AMAs.

During the show, BTS and Coldplay took the stage for a lively rendition of their collaboration "My Universe."

But it was BTS alone that closed out the star-studded night with a smooth performance of their award-winning hit "Butter."
