Starbucks Coffee Korea is temporarily suspending operations of more than half of its stores in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province in order to prevent further spread of the new coronavirus.
The company said 39 of its 74 cafes in the region will remain closed until March 22.
The remaining Starbucks drive-through stores in the hard-hit areas will continue to serve customers and undergo disinfection as part of safety measures.■
