A massive shopping festival will kick off Friday across South Korea.
The event, which will run through July 12, is aimed at boosting domestic consumption and helping businesses recover from sagging demand amid the coronavirus outbreak.
More than 5,000 retailers, including department stores, grocery stores and traditional markets, will take part in the sale, which will be held both online and offline.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said special discounts will also be offered for cars and tires.
The festival will include sideline events such as a fan meeting with footballer Park Ji-sung from July 10 at Coex in southern Seoul and K-pop concerts.
