Subway Korea apologized Tuesday to a customer who found a sharp piece of plastic in their sandwich.
According to the company, a consumer discovered the white piece of plastic in a steak sandwich that was made at a Subway store in Seoul last month.
The customer reported the incident to Subway's local headquarters.
A company official said the plastic likely came from the franchise's lettuce supplier.
The official added that it will do its best to prevent such an incident from happening again.
