South Korean businesspeople who travel overseas will soon be eligible to receive coronavirus vaccines.
The industry ministry said Wednesday vaccination for the group is expected to kick off in April after government agencies complete the deliberation process and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency gives the go-ahead.
Under the planned move, coronavirus jabs will be administered to those who apply in advance of their essential overseas business trips to high-risk countries.
The ministry said it has already received more than 600 applications for COVID-19 shots from local businesspeople since March 17.
