Rail passengers can reserve train tickets for the upcoming Chuseok holiday starting next week.
According to Korea Railroad Corporation, tickets will be available for September 17-22.
Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, holiday ticket reservations can only be made online via the Korail website or app, or over the phone.
The elderly and disabled people will be given priority to reserve tickets starting Tuesday morning.
The general public can buy advance tickets for the Gyeongbu, Gyeongjeon, Donghae and Chungbuk lines from Wednesday.
Seats on the Honam, Jeolla, Gangneung, Janghang and Jungang lines can be reserved on Thursday.
Tickets will be limited as travelers will only be allowed to reserve window seats under measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Korail says stations and platforms will be disinfected at least four times a day and trains regularly ventilated.
Acting Korail chief Jeong Wang-gook has urged travelers to remember to keep their masks on and follow antivirus rules while on trains, including a ban on eating and drinking.
