South Korea's biggest airline will resume flights to Hawaii next month.
Korean Air announced Wednesday beginning November 3, flights will depart Incheon International Airport at 8:35 p.m. every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and arrive in Honolulu at 10 a.m. on the same day.
The route was suspended in April 2020 during the first wave of COVID-19 infections.
An official at the airline said the resumption of flights to other destinations will be considered after taking into consideration the COVID-19 situation and vaccination rate both at home and abroad.
The company's move comes as more countries are shifting towards a gradual return to daily activities, including travel, and reopening their economies amid the prolonged pandemic.
