The U.S. State Department has issued its second-highest travel alert for South Korea amid a recent surge in coronavirus cases in the country.
The Level 3 advisory released Wednesday recommends Americans to "reconsider travel."
It noted that South Korea raised its virus alert to the highest response level.
Earlier, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention raised its advisory for Korea to the highest level, warning against all nonessential travel.■
