Several American universities have either canceled or postponed study abroad programs to South Korea as it is unclear when the COVID-19 outbreak will end.
According to the Washington Post, the University of Wisconsin at Madison and American University suspended its programs on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Times reported that any student from the University of Southern California studying abroad in South Korea or parts of Italy affected by the coronavirus outbreak is required to return home.
This comes after the U.S. State Department raised its travel advisory for South Korea to its second highest level.
