Italy reports a total of 7,503 COVID-19 related deaths and 74,386 infections
Italy has recorded more than 74,000 COVID-19 infections in just over a month since its first case was detected in the northern region of Lombardy in late February.
The Italian Civil Protection Agency on Wedensday said 5,210 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The nationwide death toll jumped to 7,503 with the addition of 683 fatalities.
Italy's coronavirus mortality rate now stands at 10 percent, higher than any other country.■
