Tough new restrictions are coming into force in parts of Madrid, Spain to combat a sharp rise in coronavirus infections and deaths.
More than 800,000 residents have been ordered to stay at home.

A total of 37 districts of the city of Madrid and its surrounding region are today under a new partial lockdown.
The measure restricts movement in and out of those areas.
Also, bars and restaurants in those districts will have to close earlier than usual.
And no more than six people will be allowed to gather at once across the whole Madrid region.
Spain underwent one of Europe's toughest lockdowns in the spring and appeared to bring the virus under control.
But over the summer, COVID-19 had a resurgence in many parts of the country and the health care system is once again starting to come under pressure.

The new restrictions sparked mass protests across the Spanish capital on Sunday.
Hundreds of residents in some poorer areas of the city rallied against what they called discrimination.
Protesters said they felt abandoned and called for better health provisions.
