The global coronavirus death toll is nearing one million.
According to an ongoing tally by Johns Hopkins University, the United States has the highest number of fatalities with more than 200,000 followed by Brazil, India, Mexico and Britain.
The U.S. also has the most virus infections at over 7.1 million.
But India could soon catch up and become the worst affected country.
The BBC's Eram McCaughey reports.

The last one million coronavirus cases came in just 11 days. In the next few weeks, India is likely to overtake the U.S. to become the worst hit country in the world.
The western state of Maharashtra, home to India's financial capital Mumbai, and four southern states have the highest number of cases.
Despite these figures, the government has continued to ease lockdown restrictions with an eye on reviving the economy.
Experts say with increased mobility cases will continue to rise at an alarming rate.
