Facebook says it is banning advertisements that seek to delegitimize the outcome of elections.
This comes amid growing unsupported claims in the run-up to the U.S. presidential election that certain methods of voting, including voting by mail voting, are corrupt.
Many more people are using postal ballots this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The BBC's Peter Bose has more.

Last week they said they were prohibiting ads that make any premature declarations of victory in an election, while this new policy will ban any commericials or ads taht specifically describe methods of voting, such as voting by mail, as being inherently fraudulent or corrupt.
And the reason this is so significant, of course, is that President Trump has spent many weeks, indeed months, of criticizing the vote by mail system.
