Facebook is reportedly preparing a range of emergency measures in case of conflict, such as violence or other dire circumstances, related to the U.S. presidential election.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Facebook is considering measures that have been used in countries such as Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
These include slowing the spread of posts as they start to go viral and changing the type of content that people see in their feeds.
Republicans have long accused both Facebook and Twitter of censorship most recently after both companies limited the spread of a story containing unverified claims about Joe Biden's son Hunter.
The CEOs of both companies will be questioned by senators about that after the election.
