With a week to go before the U.S. election, the Democratic Party contender Joe Biden has taken his campaign to the state of Georgia, normally a Republican stronghold, but one that the Democrats believe could switch allegiance.
Biden made a scathing attack on Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus crisis, saying the president had failed the American people.
From Washington, the BBC's Lebo Diseko has more.

The last time a Democrat won the state of Georgia in a presidential election was 1992.
But with a recent poll placing the two candidates tied in the state, Democrats feel it is within their reach.
Mr. Biden pitched himself as the healer-in-chief, able to bring the country together.
For Donald Trump, it was a matter of attempting to shore up support in the battleground states of Wisconsin and Michigan.
With 16 electoral votes, Michigan was one of the belt of former industrial states Trump won last time around.

Addressing a rally in Michigan, Trump accused the Democrats of misleading the country about the impact of the coronavirus in order to discredit him.

"They use it to make us look back. But here's the story, it's COVID, COVID, COVID. You can't watch anything else... On November 4, you won't be hearing so much about it. Okay? November 4. On November 4 you'll hear... it's getting better. It's getting better. You watch. No, no, they're doing heavy COVID because they want to scare people."
