Annapurna trails covered by full snow
Search and rescue operation is underway in Nepal to locate four South Koreans who have gone missing after an avalanche hit their trekking course in the Himalayas last week.
According to the Korean Embassy in Nepal, six to 10 more rescue officials were set to be dispatched to the accident site Sunday morning.
The four missing teachers are from South Chungcheong Province who were visiting Nepal for volunteer works.
However, harsh weather conditions in the region are known to be hampering the search and rescue efforts.
President Moon Jae-in called for all-out efforts to locate the missing.
In a Facebook post today, Moon assured a "close cooperation with the Nepal government until the end of the operation."■
