South Korea has confirmed over 10,000 coronavirus cases.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday that the nation's total number of cases stood at 10,062 with the addition 86 new infections reported the previous day.
Among the latest cases, 42 were from Seoul and the surrounding region, nine from Daegu and five from North Gyeongsang Province.
Five more patients fell victim to the virus raising the death toll to 174.
The country continues to deal with a rise in infections among recent arrivals.
Twenty-two more cases were detected at quarantine checkpoints, bringing the total number of imported cases to 647.
Meanwhile, the recovery figure surged to 6,021, higher than the 3,867 patients under quarantine.■
