A private academy instructor diagnosed with COVID-19 infects more than a dozen others in the port city of Incheon.
Two more people in the port city of Incheon have tested positive for COVID-19 after being infected by a private academy instructor who visited a club in Seoul's Itaewon nightlife district.
The Incheon city government reported on Thursday that an 18-year-old student and the student's mother were the latest to be infected.
The total number of related cases now stands at 13, including eight middle and high school students and five adults.
The instructor, a 25-year-old man, was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday, after visiting a club connected to the Itaewon cluster on the night of May 2.
During an interview with quarantine officials, the man lied and said he had no occupation, though he had been teaching at a private academy.
Incheon city officials said they plan to file a criminal complaint against the tutor for lying about his occupation and putting others in danger.
