Education Minister Yoo Eun-hae gave words of encouragement to high school seniors who resumed face-to-face classes this week amid concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.
Yoo met students at Duksung Girls' High School in Seoul on Friday morning and told them they have the support of the entire country.
The minister inspected quarantine measures in place at the school, including their use of thermal cameras to monitor students and any possible symptoms of COVID-19.
Yoo also thanked teachers and expressed her appreciation for all the hard work they were doing in order to keep students safe while vowing government efforts to support them.
Classes for students in lower grades will resume in phases from next Wednesday.
