President Moon Jae-in will be delivering a speech on Saturday to mark Memorial Day, commemorating those who died while protecting the country during the Korean War and other wars and battles.
This year, the 65th Memorial Day ceremony will be held at the Daejeon National Cemetery.
It was previously scheduled to be held at the Seoul National Cemetery but was moved amid growing infections of the novel coronavirus in the capital region.
Meanwhile, a siren will sound nationwide at 10 a.m. for one minute to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country.
