Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun addresses concern over the coronavirus situation in Gwangju.
Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has pledged all efforts to contain clusters of novel coronavirus infections in Gwangju.
At a meeting of the Central Disaster Management Headquarters held at Gwangju City Hall Friday, Chung called the situation in the southwestern city grave.
He noted most of the local cases started with people who were not following quarantine guidelines and safety measures at at religious facilities, and stress the cooperation of residents is key to prevent further spread.
Gwangju officials reported two more virus patients as of early Friday, raising the city's case count to 84.
