Demonstrators carry an injured man during anti-government protests ignited by a massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.
South Korea has upgraded its travel advisory for the Lebanese capital of Beirut as large anti-government protests continue to flare in response to last week's deadly explosion.
The Level 3 advisory, implemented on Tuesday, is the second highest alert that recommends Korean nationals to withdraw from a particular area.
Seoul's foreign ministry said it urged some 30 Koreans residing in the city to return home if possible, and called on travelers to either cancel or postpone their trips.
The ministry said it will continue to monitor the situation in Beirut.
