South Korea has reported 114 new coronavirus cases and one additional death, as cluster infections continue to emerge across the country amid eased social distancing.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said Friday that 93 domestic infections and 21 imported cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
This brings the national caseload to 26,385 and the death toll to 463.
While health authorities remain vigilant over recent outbreaks at elderly care facilities, hospitals and from social and family gatherings, they are warning of a potential resurgence of COVID-19 linked to seasonal travel.
They are also encouraging people to avoid Halloween gatherings at bars, clubs and other entertainment facilities this weekend due to the increased risk of cluster infections.
