A time capsule containing dozens of items that commemorate the 70th anniversary of the start of the Korean War was installed Wednesday at the Seoul National Cemetery.
Dubbed "Memory Box," the capsule was created to remember various programs organized by the South Korean government for this year's celebration, including planning documents and letters from veterans, according to the defense ministry.
A senior ministry official said they hope the time capsule will remind people "the freedom, peace and prosperity we enjoy today were not given at a small cost."
The box will be opened in 2050 on the centennial anniversary of the war's outbreak.
