The education ministry says it will carry out inspections on test-prep schools across the country to make sure they are properly adhering to coronavirus quarantine rules ahead of next week's college entrance exam.
The ministry revealed its plan Friday, but also urged students to refrain from studying at test-prep centers to reduce the risk of being infected or spreading COVID-19.
Cram schools that are found to have violated anti-virus measures could be fined and held legally responsible for related cases of infection.
More than 493,000 students are scheduled to take the College Scholastic Ability Test on December 3.
