Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum reassured the public on Friday that COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are safe.
After getting a third shot himself this morning, Kim urged people to receive boosters, saying it will help protect them, their families, neighbors and the entire country.
He reiterated vaccines are the best defense against infections.
The prime minister added that the only way to overcome the current crisis is for elderly to get their additional shots by the end of the year and teens to get their first ones.
