Rally at Gwanghwamun Square last weekend
Rallies are now banned in more areas of the capital to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon announced this morning that organizations will be prohibited from staging gatherings in front of Seoul Station, Hyoja-dong three-way intersection near Cheong Wa Dae, along Shinmun-ro and Jongro.
Earlier, the city government restricted rallies at Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul Plaza and Cheonggye Plaza.
Seoul city has decided to report those who violate the measures after protestors took to the streets last weekend.
Mayor Park said the move is to protect the health of the public and save lives.■
