Number of COVID-19 cases linked to Seoul call center rises to 102
The number of new coronavirus infections linked to a call center in Seoul's southwestern Guro District has reached 102.
Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon said in a briefing Thursday that among the cases, the capital city accounted for the highest number of infections with 71 patients, followed by 17 in Incheon and 14 in Gyeonggi Province.
The figures come after screening tests were conducted on 207 employees who worked on the 11th floor of the building in the Sindorim neighborhood where the call center is located.
Another 553 employees who worked on the seventh to ninth floors, as well as their families, were also tested.
Mayor Park said screenings conducted on around 200 residents who live in the building all came back negative.■
