Seoul's education office says it will provide all students with filter replacement-type cotton face masks to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus.
The education office said students at kindergartens, elementary, middle and high schools as well as special education schools will be given four masks each and four filters for each mask.
Education Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon has called on the central government to come up with measures to provide students with more masks.
Thermal imaging cameras will also be installed at all schools in the capital.■
