A sign in front of a Seoul hospital tells Itaewon club visitors and their families to inform medical personnel of their movements.
Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon says over 24,000 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus in connection to the Itaewon cluster, but risks remain and the public must cooperate in order to stem the spread of infections.
Speaking to TBS FM's "Kim OuJoon's News Factory" on Thursday, Park said the number of people being tested for the virus in the capital has increased eightfold, since free and anonymous testing was implemented.
He said the anonymous tests were working and that new infections have been confirmed.
Park reiterated calls for those who were in Itaewon or visited bars and clubs linked to the outbreak between the end of April and the first few days of May to quickly come forward to prevent secondary and tertiary infections.
The mayor also gave a stern reminder that anyone who does not comply with the city government's testing order could face fines of up to 2 million won.
Cases related to this latest cluster have spiked to 120 since the first patient was confirmed last Wednesday.
