Landslide advisories have been issued in Seoul's Jungnang, Gangbuk, Nowon and Dobong districts on Tuesday amid heavy downpours.
The Jungnang District called on officials to take precautions against the increased risk of landslides, especially in the neighborhoods of Myeonmok, Mangwoo, Sangbong and Shinnae.
The Gangbuk and Nowon district offices, meanwhile, urged residents to evacuate areas prone to rock and mudslides.
Earlier, the Korea Forest Service issued a nationwide landslide alert as days of heavy rain have loosened soil and saturated hills and mountains.
