The city of Bucheon in Gyeonggi Province, just west of Seoul, has reported two new coronavirus clusters.
Local authorities said Tuesday that 20 people from a religious facility in area tested positive for COVID-19.
Separately, 33 people at an educational institute were also diagnosed with the disease.
These outbreaks are believed to be connected as some of the patients visited both facilities.
Officials are carrying out epidemiological surveys to try and determine the exact route of infection.
