The Korea Meteorological Administration issued on Monday afternoon a heavy rain advisory for most of Seoul.
The advisory is issued when more than 60 millimeters of rain is forecast for three hours.
Torrential downpours are expected in 18 districts in the capital, including Gangnam, Seongbuk, Dobong, Mapo, Seodaemun and Yongsan.
Despite the rain, heat wave warnings remain in effect for all of Seoul.
