Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon urged capital residents on Wednesday to get tested for COVID-19 preemptively to prevent the further spread of the disease.
He made the call during a visit this morning to Suseo Station as people make their way back home after the Chuseok holiday.
Oh also thanked medical workers at a temporary screening center at the station for their hard work.
Testing sites in Seoul's 25 districts stayed open during the five-day holiday, and temporary ones were set up at major transportation hubs like train stations and bus terminals for the convenience of travelers.
