A recent poll shows a vast majority of South Koreans support the government's social distancing campaign aimed at blocking the spread of COVID-19.
The survey by the Asian Citizen's Center for Environment and Health on 1,000 adults nationwide last Saturday and Sunday showed 94.5 percent of respondents agreed with the need for the guidelines.
As for how long social distancing should remain in place, 49.5 percent said until South Korea sees no more coronavirus infections.
About a third of respondents said they have suffered economic, physical, mental or social side effects from social distancing.■
