South Koreans and foreign nationals will be able to purchase as many face masks as they want from Wednesday to Saturday, to better protect themselves from the novel coronavirus.
Previously, there was a weekly limit of 10 masks per person.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, masks will be available for purchase at pharmacies, Nonghyup Hanaro Marts and post offices nationwide.
The move comes as the government is set to end its mask rationing scheme on Sunday as the domestic supply has stabilized.
Masks are currently being sold at 1,500 won apiece, but the price could rise after the rationing scheme ends.
