Daejeon National Cemetery
National cemeteries across South Korea will be closed to the public during the Chuseok holiday as part of measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said on Monday that all 11 national cemetaries will close from September 30 through October 4.
They include those in Seoul and Daejeon and burial grounds that remember and honor those who died during Democratic movements.
A ministry official said the decision to temporarily shut down the facilities was inevitable to keep the families of veterans safe.
