The Korea Meteorological Administration says a full harvest moon will be visible Thursday, Chuseok Day, despite forecasts of cloudy skies.
According to the weather agency, the moon will rise at 6:11 p.m. in Busan, at 6:18 p.m. in Daejeon and at 6:20 p.m. in Seoul, Gwangju and Jeju.
Clouds on Wednesday are expected to linger over most regions, with rain in store for Seoul and its surrounding areas, Gangwon's Yeongseo, and parts of North Chungcheong Province.
More sporadic showers are likely during the weekend.
There KMA also warned of big temperature gaps from day to night over the extended holiday, and recommended wearing extra layers of clothes before heading outdoors.
