Outbreaks of COVID-19 at a number of hospitals in the capital region are putting health authorities on edge.

The Dobong District in Seoul said Wednesday that 28 additional coronavirus infections were reported in connection to the Dana Hospital.

There are now a total of 30 cases linked to the psychiatric facility.

The Central Disaster Management Headquarters has urged recent patients and those who visited the hospital between September 15-29 to get tested for the virus regardless of symptoms.

Meanwhile in neighboring Yongin in Gyeonggi Province, a doctor and staff member at Kangnam General Hospital have tested positive for the virus.

City quarantine authorities said there could be more infections from the hospital as the staff member serves in a role where they have to move around the hospital several times a day.

Also, a medical team member at Yongin Severance Hospital has been diagnosed with the disease.

This has prompted the closure of the hospital's operating and emergency rooms.
