Yellow dust from China is forecast to impact air quality in South Korea this week.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Tuesday that yellow dust is blowing in from the Gobi Desert.

The concentration of fine dust in the atmosphere is expected to reach bad levels in the greater Seoul area and the Chungcheong provinces on Wednesday morning.

Similar conditions will likely continue into Thursday and possible expand to other regions.

People with respiratory issues, young children and elderly should take precautions when outdoors.
