Popular clubs in Seoul's Itaewon and Gangnam district will be closed this Halloween to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Customer notices posted Wednesday at various large clubs informed that they would be keeping their doors shut until next Tuesday, according to a Yonhap News report.
One notice read the decision to close temporarily during the Halloween period came after consultations with health authorities and local governments.
It was unclear whether the government issued any related guidelines.
Authorities have warned of possible infections among partygoers this weekend, citing the mass outbreak the country experienced in May that was traced to clubs and bars in Itaewon.
